Landscaping Close-ups

Here are a few close-ups pictures of our landscaping efforts taken in early June.
Our rose bush is blooming wonderfully.
Some eonymous bushes and a rosy-glow barberry lead up to our Japanese Maple. A closer shot of the Japanese Maple. It is expected to grow only about 4 feet high but 6 feet wide. To the right of the Japanese Maple is a hosta that we transplanted.
Some stones we dug up in the backyard make a nice path leading to the faucet. The yellow bush in the background is a Golden Eunoymous. On the other side of the porch is our other Golden Eunoymous bush, with a semi-circle of blue star creepers surrounding it. Maria unintentionally made a happy face while planting these!
We transplanted hostas from the sides and front around the trees in the front yard to create a pleasing effect. More hostas planted around the pine tree in front of our new garden.
Once these grow up, they will look much better! We have a burning bush in the center in front of the chimney, flanked by two small lavenders. One more look at that beautiful rose bush and bird bath.
One last touch was to plant some yellow and rosy-glow barberry bushes around our front lamp post.
