Indoor Pictures of New House

Compare the hideous paint colors of the "before" pictures and you will understand why we have repainted most of the rooms. We still have some work to do on the rooms, and will post updates as we make progress.

Master Bedroom as seen from hallway. What a lovely shade of pink! We've already put the primer on the walls, so the hot pink will soon be no longer! The pink had to go, so we repainted the walls cottage white. We have a new bedroom set, including the "sled" type of bed frame which was a real find for us because it is low enough to the ground so the cats can't crawl underneath and claw up the underside of the box spring.

Side view of Master Bedroom before repainting. Window faces backyard. Master bathroom to left of window, closet on right. The new look after repainting the walls (boy, that pink was awful!). The new armoire is to the left, and our new bed is being tested for comfort by Tiger. We will be adding a window treatment to the window.

Sitting Room off of Master Bedroom. This room is located over the garage and faces the front yard. Wow that's pink! What a difference after repainting! We've added our old futon, coffee table and bookshelves to turn this into a casual, comfortable Sitting Room.

Guest Bedroom #1. Still have the same pink carpet for now, but we have added our old furniture and bed to make a guest bedroom. Anyone ready to visit us yet?

Guest Bedroom #2. We are going to be turning this long and narrow room into a "dog room" with a gate at the door so we won't have to crate the dogs when we are out. We pulled the ugly pink carpet and replaced it with a laminate floor (easier to clean up for the messy dogs!) We decided to paint it a vibrant red, added molding, and put up a few shelves.

Guest Bedroom #3. As you can see, this is now our command and control station, also known as the computer room. We actually have far more computers than this, but this room will have to do for now! How many cats can you find in this picture? See if you can find Jantsy, Abigale-Clare and Isabella.

Basement, as seen from stair entryway. We will be painting the walls to lighten it up. Basement after painting the walls cottage white. We will be replacing the back window with some glass blocks for security and privacy. We hope to make this our "game room" and add a ping-pong table and maybe a foosball table.

Basement as seen from previous basement room. The white door leads to steps to the backyard. Basement after an extensive painting job and new blinds on the door that actually reach the bottom of the glass door. I also tiled the floor with a slate gray tile to give it a stone tile look.

Extra room in basement. After an extensive paint job to lighten up the paneling, I've turned this into my exercise room. The small glass window will be replaced soon by glass blocks to allow light but ensure privacy and security.
